Check the label honey! A Product Label Guide Post :)

Hello Lovelies!      It's been a while since I last posted here. And gawwwwd, how I miss it! So moving forward, here's a little info post for all of us. Since the beauty industry is continuing to grow, beauty products kept popping here and there, but of course as a responsible consumer we must always "check the label".      So here are the labels I have encountered in my beauty product journey: USDA - is a program created by the Agricultural Marketing Service (AMS) of the United States Department of Agriculture with the aim to provide US Producers the opportunity to market their goods domestically and internationally by undergoing quality check based on AMS USDA Organic Standards which was developed by the National Organic Program (NOP) , and also to provide consumers worldwide with guaranteed quality goods. There are 3 Organic Product Standards in USDA, namely Crop Standard, Handling Standard &  Livestock and Poultry Standards. So if...

No to Extra Rice: The Less Rice Diet for Everyone

Hello Lovelies! Image Source: Rappler.com Few years ago I was diagnosed with PCOS or Polycystic Ovary Syndrome which means that I have these little cysts on my ovary which resulted to my hormones being unbalanced; my male hormone population is many compared to my female ones, in other words, they run my world MORE *sorry Beyonce* --which resulted to me having an irregular period and a possibility, in the future, of a pregnancy difficulty--which is so sad for I wanna be a mom... SOMEDAY. NOT NOW OR IN THE NEAR FUTURE . (ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ*:・゚✧ With that being stated, my OB advised me to lessen my rice intake , because rice may increase sugar levels and it may arise the production of insulin which can aid in the production of Androgen (male hormones) which can worsen PCOS --and being diabetes a common disease in our family lineage, I too shall watch my health because prevention is always better than cure. Being an "Extra Rice" Girl, this task was ssssooooooo HARD (then). I mea...

Skincare Routine: Keeping it Simple

Hello Lovelies! Up until now, I'm still battling with the pimples I got from using Silka . And let me tell you guys, I've haven't experienced a breakout like this for awhile (last that I can remember was during the Beauche experience ) that's why even though I may seem fine outside, but I'm really-really-hontoni-hontoni crying and panicking inside .  ( ╥_╥) However,  let's not dwell most on the sad part--with this situation at hand I thought of researching how to take care of my face--the right way. The thing is, we often think that having a squeaky clean face is the solution to battle pimples and stripping oil is the best way to do that...which is sadly not ENTIRELY TRUE. OOPS. Image Source: http://www.fletchercreekwater.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/09/water.jpg Because there is a thing such a Good Oil and a Bad Oil... Actually it is quite easy to differentiate the two, Good Oil is the oil we produced naturally on our face, which our face used as ...

My cup of Tea: The Beauty of Chamomile

Camomile/Chamomile is best known as a tea, a calming and relaxing tea to be certain. However, there's more to Chamomile Tea than just drinking it, who would have thought that it can also be used on the skin and on the hair? Awesome, right? So why throw them right away after drinking if you could use it again?

Cheers for whiter armpits!

It's been awhile ei? So sorry for not updating. A lot of things just happened recently both personal and academically. But nevermind, I'm not here to discuss those. (^ u ^) So let's go directly to business: Regret --that's the worst feeling ever but, it is certainly a great teacher. This statement I can apply on my journey in caring for my armpit--yes, as silly as it sounds, but seriously I'm really strict when it comes to deos and armpit products because I don't want to further damage my armpit, my younger self had done enough...ugh. So here is my armpit ritual to whiten our oh-so-sensitive armpits.

Maintain your so fair and so healthy skin all the way!

So you use the right kind of soap and moisturizers at home to make your skin healthy and glowing however, what about outside? I mean, at least at home you are all shaded and comfortable but how about outside? Your healthy skin needs maintenance and protection. Since, the climate change issue arose, resulted by the thinning of the ozone layer, we are all exposed to the harsh UV-ray that may cause damage to our skin. So how can we protect our skin?  By using Sun Block and Sun Screen.

No Poo: My "No Shampoo" Version

Since I've finished my last bottle of shampoo last month, I've been into this "No Poo" advocacy wherein you'll clean your hair using a natural cleaning agent instead of of using shampoo or you can just say sayoonara to shampoo and stick only into using conditioner alone. The most common "No Poo" agents are Baking + Apple Cider Vinegar , wherein baking soda is the shampoo and ACV is the conditioner. However, I stopped using those because for one thing--ACV stinks...a lot. So, instead of using those two I came up with this: my own no poo method.

Baking Soda for a Cleaner Face

We all know that baking soda is known as a great cleaning agent for kitchen utensils, as an ingredient for making pastries and also as a great air sanitizer, but we should not limit the use of baking soda to those because there are countless ways of using baking soda, and one of them is using it on your face.

Dry Lips Home Remedy: Simple ways on how to treat chapped lips

Image source:  http://www.snow.edu/snowdrift/coresystem/wp-content/uploads/2012/08/lips.jpg   Why so dry? There are many reasons why our lips become dry: not drinking enough water and lip biting are some of them. Chapped lips are annoying and definitely not cute that we tend to buy loads and loads of cheap and sometimes expensive lip balms. However, putting layers and layers of lip balm is definitely not the cure.
