No Poo: My "No Shampoo" Version

Since I've finished my last bottle of shampoo last month, I've been into this "No Poo" advocacy wherein you'll clean your hair using a natural cleaning agent instead of of using shampoo or you can just say sayoonara to shampoo and stick only into using conditioner alone.

The most common "No Poo" agents are Baking + Apple Cider Vinegar, wherein baking soda is the shampoo and ACV is the conditioner. However, I stopped using those because for one thing--ACV stinks...a lot. So, instead of using those two I came up with this: my own no poo method.

The Shampoo
Instead of using Baking Soda, I use the infamous Calamansi! Because calamansi, as I've said on my Sugaring Hair Removal DIY, is abundant here in the Philippines, but you can also use Lemon.

How do I use it?
When I was young, my mom taught me how to use calamansi for cleaning my hair, she got it from my grandma. so here's how:
  • First, cut the calamansi into half. (For me, I basically need 16 pieces of calamansis)
  • After cutting all 16 calamansis, divide it into 3/4 and 1/4
  • Use the 3/4 of the calamansis to rub your entire scalp GENTLY (make sure that your hair is still dry)
  • After rubbing your scalp, squeeze the juice of the remaining calamansis then apply to your hair, from roots to tips.
  • Gently massage your scalp and wait for at least five minutes before you rinse it.
  • After rinsing it, you can now apply the conditioner.
Note: I use calamansi not only because it is a good cleaning agent but also because I want to lighten my hair naturally. I don't want to further damage my hair and I'm beginning to invest on wigs. (^ u ^)

The Conditioner
Basically, I only use an average conditioner. Currently, I'm using Dove Hair Fall Rescue Conditioner (I'm gonna make a review about that as soon as I finished my second bottle). BUT, I'm not using conditioner alone, to support my hair lightening ritual I add HONEY to my conditioner.

So that's it, my hair care ritual. I use those two daily. Then at night, before I sleep I massage my scalp and hair with olive oil. Remember to always massage your scalp to promote hair growth and avoid brushing your hair while wet. (^ . ~)

When I Let Belo Touched my Armpit: The Belo Beauty Deo Review

Hello Lovelies! Being born a sweaty-pig, I struggled during my puberty days, it is either I end up stinky and soaking wet or having a overwhelming smell of deo and yellow stains on my uniforms--because I just don't know where or who to ask or open up for it is a pretty personal and embarrassing stuff. So moving forward, I end up ruining my armpit, it has chicken skin and uneven skin tone. For years I've been using all-natural alum deo, be it powdered or the solid one, just to save my shirts & blouses from stains but the downside is that it doesn't have any antiperspirant property--which is kinda embarrassing, not just for girls but for everyone! Dyahe bes! Hindi nakakaganda. Then one time, my Mom made me use her Avon's Quelch Deo--and it quite good. I didn't sweat and there's no stain--but then again it just my first time of using it--so I wasn't convince yet, I told myself that I need to try it for a longer period. However, the thing is I don'
