{UPDATED} My Breakout Survival Kit

Hello Lovelies!

So here it goes!!! A post close to my heart---my breakout survival kit! First of all this is not a sponsored post--all products included are proven effective on my skin. However, as much as I want to help you with overcoming your breakouts, the effectiveness of all the products indicated on this post varies, therefore if these products are so amazing on me, it doesn't mean that their magic can work on you too--but I do pray that they do, so that we can be both joyful. (▰˘◡˘▰)
Just a background, before, during the midst of my breakout, I'm not into using facial cleansers--soap is enough for me, since I don't wear make-up (I'll talk about that on another post). But since the reason behind my breakout then was the current soap I was using (for review sake)--I felt lost on what I should do, so after a day of confusion and drama--I did what every girl on this planet with internet connection would do, search Google and YouTube for breakout solution. Then without noticing, I end up on BeautyMNL--an online beauty product shopping website here in the Philippines, and there I encountered these wonderful products--which are considered Holy Grails by most. But of course, in choosing which product to try, I considered the price also. So items included on this list are somewhat affordable to "pwedeng pag-ipunan Bes" range. So nuffsaid, let's start! (ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ*:・゚✧

Neutrogena Deep Clean Brightening Foaming Cleanser

How Much? 214 Php
Where? Watsons

Pros:
  • Helped with stopping pimples from popping on my face.
  • Not drying at all
  • Very mild
  • Been using it for more than a month now! At nangangalahati palang sya dear! Pang-matagalan bes!
  • Helped in lightening my pimple scars
Cons:
  • Kinda expensive but pwedeng pag-ipunan bes!
  • The brightening effect, I'm not seeing it--but I don't care about it that much, the breakout part is what I'm after naman eh, so no big deal, just stating it.
  • Although the product doesn't claim that it can reduce face oiliness--but as I've read on BeutyMNL's website, most of the users are have oily skin and by using this product--it lessen the sebum on their faces--but sad to say, that's not the case for me. :(
Tip:
Instead of putting the cleanser directly on my face, I put a apt amount of it on a damp face towel, let it bubble,  and slowly, on the most gentlest manner you can, rub it on my face on a circular motion. Just be careful to not put some cleanser residue on your eyes. Moreover, other than cleansing your face, by using the face towel, your are also exfoliating your face in the most affordable way. *you're welcome!* (~ ̄▽ ̄)~

 Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water
How Much? 149 Php
Where? Watsons
Pros:
  • Helped with stopping pimples from popping on my face, helping my cleanser.
  • Doesn't sting
  • Not drying at all
  • Very mild, it's like using water...that is not water! xD
  • Been using it for more than a month now! Matipid syang gamitin dear! Pang-matagalan bes!
  • Helped in cleansing my face in the most gentlest way.
  • It's been awhile since I've used a toner, so I was so happy that this didn't gave me a breakout.
Cons:
  • Uhmmm...None. This product is so gentle that I used it on my lips too--and it doesn't make it chapped. NOT AT ALLLL.
BONUS TIPS:
  • Cleansing is important, BUT don't overdo it. I only use these two products at night--so that my skin may not ran out of moisture during the day that can lead to over production of sebum that can lead to oily face that can lead to huge pores that can lead to breakouts! Therefore, in the morning I just wash with soap then moisturizer and most important the SUNSCREEN dear!
  • Moreover, watch your diet too. Invest on nutritious food like veggies and fruits. As much as possible avoid dairy, sugary and oily food. Not only that your skin will thank you but your whole body as well. :)
  • Avoid stress! As much as you can! Yeah, who am I to say that. But please lovely, instead of frowning or over thinking stop, just smile and just do! Approach the problem not with a heavy-angry heart, Practice patience and try to make yourself chill and comfortable as much as possible. I know this will sound religious or spiritual to you but whenever I get irritated I ask myself " What will Jesus do if He is in this situation?". Sometimes, a little prayer can do so much.
  • Drink lots of water!!! Hydrate yourself! Your body needs it!
  • SLEEP. Yes please.
  • Change pillow cases every 1-2 weeks, but if you can do it every week, that would be better.
  • Don't touch your face too often! Our hands are not that clean guys.
  • Let your skin rest. Don't wear make-up if not needed.
  • Exfoliate! :)
  • Moisturize! If you have an oily skin, use a gel base, water base or a very-very light oil base moisturizer. I'm currently using Naoe's Grapeseed oil + Bearberry Extract as a moisturizer.
  • Supplement! Don't underestimate the power of a good supplement. Find supplements with Vit. A, C, E, D, Niacinamide and Zinc---like Puritan's Pride Hair Nails Skin Formula
  • LOVE YOURSELF. I know having breakouts can drain the confidence out of our system, but it doesn't sum up our identity. If you have a breakout right now, instead of focusing on that--divert! Don't be just the person with the breakout, be the brainy one, be the diligent one, be the polite one, be the nice one, be the one who smiles a lot, be the one who shares, who does art, who writes--there are a lot of possibilities. Don't weigh your worth on your weakness. Set your eyes to your strengths, to the people who loves you, to our Creator. Sometimes, it is just a matter of perspective. Always remember, that THE NOW VERSION OF YOU IS THE MOST BEAUTIFUL VERSION OF YOU FOR IT IS THE LIVING VERSION OF YOU, SO USE IT WISELY AND LOVE IT WHOLEHEARTEDLY.

So that's it for now, hope it somewhat helped you lovelies. Till next time!
