Hello Lovelies!
How was your week? Christmas is getting nearer, right? How about a treat? This post is for all furniture lovers, architects and interior designers out there, for today will be about the "Kuysen" Experience.
If you are involve in the interior design field & architectural field perhaps you have heard about Kuysen--in my experience, I first encountered Kuysen as bathroom fixtures supplier but upon being invited on their showroom in Makati I, and so as my officemates, learned that Kuysen is far more diverse; they don't just supply bathroom fixtures but also furniture and lighting fixtures and not just any furniture and lightings but designer made ones, which means that it will not just be comfortable but an eye candy too.
Disclaimer: This is not a sponsored post. I am not in anyway affiliated with Kuysen and with all the brand you'll about to read in this post. I'm just a fan. Thank you!
Kuysen takes pride on their brands which caters not just for the indoor spaces but also to the great outdoors, and mind you, these brands are well known in their own markets:
Those are just a few of the brands they supply here in the Philippines. Majority of the brands are European brands. The brands stated above are grouped into three (3):
- Indoor Space Furniture: Zanotta, Pedrali, Living Divani, Desalto, Baxter & Alivar
- Outdoor: Paola Lenti
- Lighting Fixtures: Santa & Cole, Slamp & Vibia
Brand: Unknown Description: Copper Finished Wall Decor, good for giving your fine wall surface a bit of an extra. |
Brand: I believe, this is the Baxter side, please forgive me if I'm wrong. Description: Chester Moon, the elegant blue tufted sofa is good for hotel lobbies or office lobbies that requires elegance and class without the need too much comfort or long sitting. |
Description: This is their focal piece, this will welcome you upon entering the showroom. |
Brand: Zanotta Description: This is "Sella", remember what I stated before when I wrote "Quirkiness"? So this is it. Made by the Castiglioni Brothers: Pier & Achille, Italian architects & designers who pride themselves, in my own opinion, in their unique play of components ans shapes: combining everyday things into something extra, if you are not convinced, you need to see Mezzadro and their Snoopy Lamp, and did I mention that they received Compasso d´Oro awards? Yes, they did and yes, 9 to be exact. And their furniture are being showcased in different museums? Not that fancy right? |
Brands: Zanotta & Vibia Description: Presenting the Reale Table by Carlo Mollino. First of all, I want to ask for forgiveness for not giving the table justice. I really-really advise you to go check it at Zanotta's Website, you need to take a look at its legs. Moving forward, I admire this table's elegance and simplicity, and if this surface finish doesn't get you, do you know that it also comes in glass? And ladies and gentlemen presenting: Vibia's Cosmos Series, this is model 2516 and see right? An art installation on its own and it can be permanent if you would buy it. Haha. This is not sponsored, please be reminded. xD |
Brand: Baxter Description: The Bauhaus Special Edition Chair, the reason why this caught my eye is because of its retro colors and pattern in a modern statute. I love how the designer come up with this: fancy, funky and modern--but of course its name speaks out for itself. |
Brand: Baxter Description: See that dark blue couch? That's the Sorrento, the Lazy Boy version of Baxter and it made me into a Lazy Girl, gosh! It was the most comfortable couch I've tried. It is like being hugged in the most comfortable way. |
Description: I'm not actually sure about this one but I truly admire those slender legs and its overall sophisticated simplicity. |
Brand: Vibia Description: Again, for the love of form and function, presenting Meridiano by Vibia. Good for outdoors. Actually when from afar, it kinda looks like a bonfire and can I add that you can actually sit on it? That's Vibia being an extra, being architecture by itself, not just pure aesthetic but you can actually use it. |
Brand: Vibia Description: The Origami Series by Vibia gives you the freedom to form your own wall and light art. |
Brand: Axor Massaud Description: Last but definitely not the least, let me bring you where I first encountered Kuysen, in Bathroom Fixtures: Axor Massaud was named after the Jean-Marie Massaud, a French Architect and Designer who's into nature--which you can see in the design of the Mixer and of the Basin. The Zen feeling of slender and sleek mixer harmonizing with the free-form shape of the design reminds me of a waterfall. |
